Many people have eye problem at one time or another. Some problems are minor and easy to treat at home. While others need a consultation from doctor. Always consult with a doctor if your symptoms are continue for few days. Below are some causes of eye problems:

It is common in people’s who read or study for many hours, works at a computer, or drives long. Due to overuse of their eyes, they get tired and need some rest, just like any other part of your body. If your eyes feel strained, take some rest. If they’re still weary after a few days, make an appointment with doctor to ensure about any problem.

Red Eyes

Blood vessels are present in surface of eyes that expand when they are infected or irritated. Due to this your eyes looks red. Eyestrain, a lack of sleep, late night, or allergies. If there is any injury, consult with your doctor. Red eyes is a symptom of other eye condition, such as conjustivitis or sun damage from not wearing shades over the years.

Night Blindness

During driving, it is hard to see at night and tough to search your path around dark places, such as cinemas. This is because of nigh blindness. Keratoconus, nearsightedness, cataracts,  and a lack of vitamin A are all cause a type of night blindness that needs consult with doctor. It may be hereditary, or it may be due to degenerative disease involving the retina, and that usually can not be treated. You will need to be extra careful in areas of low light, if you have this problem.

Lazy Eye

Amblyopia or lazy eye, happens when one eye doesn’t develop properly. Vision is weaker in that eye, and it tends to move “lazily” around while the other eye is normal. It is found in infants, kids, and adults, and rarely affects both eyes. Immediate treatment needs to be sought for infants and children. Vision problems can be avoided if a lazy eye is detected and treated in early childhood. Treatment involve eye glasses or contact lenses, using a patch or other strategies to make a child use the lazy eye.

Cross Eyes

If your eyes aren’t lined up with each other when you look at something, you could have strabismus. This problem always need to get an consultation with opthamologist, or eye specialist for treatment if you want to make your eyes stronger, there are many treatments, including vision therapy and surgery. Optometrist will check your eyes to see which treatment is best for you.

Colorblindness

If you are not able to see certain colors, or can’t tell the difference between red and green, you may be colorblind. When the color cells in your eye are absent, colorblindness can happen. When this problem become serious, you only can see in shades of gray, but this is rare. Most people born with it, you can get it later in life from drugs and diseases.
